Lyn is a graduate of both Robert Gordon University and the University of Stirling. She has worked in the housing field for over 15 years in a variety of frontline, management and strategic roles. Prior to setting up as an independent housing consultant, Lyn was employed by the CIH in Scotland as the Policy and Practice Officer, carrying out research, representing the profession at a national level and managing projects across a number of areas.
Lyn takes her skills and experience to a variety of voluntary activities. Playing a pivotal role within the Disabled Persons Housing Service (Aberdeen) Lyn was Chair of the Board during 2009. In addition she was both Secretary and Treasurer of Stonehaven and District Community Council working to develop clear strategies and action plans to improve the engagement of local people in the decision affecting their communities.
Over the last 3 years Lyn has extended her knowledge and experience base to include some community arts & leisure development, community renewable energy and sustainability projects.
Most recently Lyn has built on her commitment to tackle inequality by working to coordinate a strategic response to violence against women and children across East and Midlothian.
